This old house

Yippee! I found an old Lundby doll’s house to renovate..

I’m having so much fun with it.

My transformer for the lights arrived too.. woooh!

Its for Nora… honest.

This room needs a make-over for sure..!

I wonder…

Pots and pans

The other night we finally threw out our collection of old pots and pans.. I was a little attached to those stripes.. but as always feel so refreshed when finally ‘clean up that space’ with matching fresh newness.. ahhh

Out with the old

In with the new

Teeth

Nony’s first teeth..

I’ve been trying to show dad on the web cam but its so hard.. she either has to be laughing or crying for you to catch a glimpse of those new pearly whites.. so I got the camera out last night and caught her doing both.. So here you are dad (mum, and Laura too)

It’s fun on the swing when mum is catching my toes… yep.. just try taking a photo while doing that too :S Very cute but oh how I will miss those gummy smiles!!

It’s not so fun later in the evening when teething is a pain.. bonjela worked a bit but she just could not get to sleep though we could see she was clearly tired so I took a late night shower with her.. always does the trick for both of us.

Teary eyes and slobber top.. aww

Colour Love

I don’t know what comes over me when I suddenly get an idea in my head and then spend the next two evenings sewing like mad to get it finished before I have an other idea or lose interest!

Color is super important to me, as a baby some of my first vivid memories involve bright wonderful magical color and I want Nora to have that same joy! Where better to paint with color than inside her pram!

Before……

yep the outside is bright enough already!

After!……

looks very Danish!

Unintentionally matches the rain cover perfectly too..  want a closer look what its like to be in there… just climb on in beside Nora, she’s very sleepy but there’s room..

And we match the colors in Nora’s favorite street art.. she thinks this is amazing..

Happy Day

Happy New Year!

We had the best Christmas ever..

So much catching up to do but for now let me leave you with

these..

Did you enjoy your flight?

Night night Nora .. and Sophie.

4 months

my baby is 4 months old today!

I believed that called for having a picture taken..

Nora:

is chatty

loves to sing

is interested in everything around her

(especially new people)

loves to ‘fly’

is very tall for her age!

Thinks toys are for eating or shouting at

thinks her dad is hilarious

adores her cousins

She makes us smile everyday. What’s not to love about this little bubble? x x x

little imaginations need space to play too

Lets play lets play!

Where did ‘U’ come from? Well.. we thought ‘U’ had potential and boUght ‘U’ from a jUnk shop on Norrebrogade.

Here I go again! always looking at making more of our matchbox apartment.. and I love it. So we have a couple of new fun additions that we are working on- Nora’s play corner being one of them.. where some toys and books are stored.. its not yet completed but I think she likes it (she likes to sing and shout when she’s there, its expressive time!) I know I like it anyway  (:

I

Love

I did say it was unfinished didn’t I- but I do like the way its heading. Those curtains have been sitting in that corner from before Nora was born.. Maybe its time to resign to the fact that they aren’t going anywhere.. and put them up in the attic. I am quite loving our cable tidy boxes from Ikea.. no more tripping over cables or worrying that the little one will get caught in them. I also love that Mr Alligator doubles as draught excluder to the balcony door there. The big purple flower ball thing was from my birthday.. I’m still rather loving it and can’t bring myself to throw it.. maybe its because is so soft and yummy looking and maybe also because it’s a reminder of summer which seemed so fleeting this year and I am not ready yet to accept it is gone? *sigh* Here’s where the fUn corner lives in the larger scale of things.. And the little miss cutie hard at work showing us all how its done..

I love your cardi Nora, where did you get that!?

Hallooweeeeeeeeeen!!

Yay! Its that time again already! And I always find myself a little bit excited. For us finding your own involves scouring the supermarkets and green grocers for the perfect pumpkin, how I dream of visiting a pumpkin patch.. but to be fair we enjoyed digging deep in the huge box on the street vegetable market ahh.. pumpkin time.

  • 1. get a pumpkin

We already had some pumpkin carving fun with Mrs Lene and Mr mike, Mr Samuel + Mr Magnus + friends  ((: And then there’s pumpkin yummies! I have already tried something a bit different this morning using the orange ingredient in my porridge.

  • 2. under adult supervision (Niels had Mike here) carefully cut the top off of your pumpkin.

  • 3. Remove Pumpkins brains

  • 4. and the rest…

  • 5. Save all the good stuff to bake with later  (:

  • 6. get creative

  • 7. Light em up!

  • 8. Sit back and enjoy Pumpkin goodies

x Thanks Mrs Lene + Mr Mike for a fun evening and our full tummies! (: x

Blessed

a special general conference Sunday

Not only did we get to listen to the kind words of our prophet joined by my parents and older brother visiting  from Scotland that weekend but also little Nora Gwynneth was blessed in Niels parents home in Hillerød.

Thanks so much to Helmi + Richardt for making that possible and all their contributions on providing such fine food and hospitality to us and our guests.  It was a super and special day. We can not thank enough to all who contributed.

First

we prepared for the day ahead with a hearty breakfast

concluded the menu for the evening, finished decorating a cake, making programs and sprinkling the place with butterflies..

Relaxed

Cosy

Personal

Serene

There was a lovely atmosphere. Bishop Vestbø introduced us by sharing words of how in 3rd Nephi we read of how the lord had the little children come unto him and blessed them one by one. Amy sang acapella ‘for the beauty of the earth’ There was a wonderful feeling in the room throughout.

We strayed from the traditional white and the popular little lady was  stunning wearing her colour- a gorgeous purple polkadot dress Made by Anne-Dorte

(our friend seen holding Nora above)
