remodel remodern recycle
What do we do when we can’t get furniture that fits our awkwardish living room?.. make our own of course!
I’m very excited about our next ‘mini’ project. We’ve decided to customize an old table that we had in the attic, its the perfect size for what we need in our difficult to layout living room (due to balcony that we want to keep access to)
Table has two slide out panels to extend surface size and goes from coffee table to dining table height- but this mechanism is very clumsy. So lets take the top off, paint it.. and attach modern legs.. keep it as a dining table. will it work? not sure yet.. but we’ll try.

Oooh, I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with this. I really like the shape/size of it.
Its great- we are so lucky it fits exactly the space we want it to. Its like a ‘proper’ table and we will be very glad to have it in our little apartment. It can seat two to ten very neatly.. I think an excellent depth to it too for loads of dishes in the centre of the table- missionaries can come for dinner and all have a seat- no one sitting on the sofa to eat anymore! (hopefully.. if it works!)
