Last night was very restless and could not sleep I found El Perro del Mar’s blog and was talking to MrA about it, he replies- she’s playing in malmo next weekend- wanna go? Woo yeah!

We have some very similar ideas and inspirations. She states;

‘It can’t seem to make it’s mind up. The sky. And neither can’t I. It’s perfectly pathetic really. But today I decided – no more collecting people. Or rather – I don’t need another place where I can tie more people to some hazy web. I’ve always found the idea of collecting and consuming people as something quite perverse. I wouldn’t do it in real life. As a matter of fact I shy away from it in real life so wouldn’t it be kind of inconsitent of me to feel a need to do it elsewhere.’

Amonge the artists we share an admiration for, she links to this song which takes me back to the summer when I was 18 an art student, working as a human scare crow in a newly planted field- I spent many long days in the sun (and some in the rain) pondering life and feeling through music. We also share an admiration for Louise Borgeois.. who inspired me a lot when I was a student in art school. I first apreciated her conceptual installations and sculptures but now I am loving most of all Borgeois’ hand painted textile book.
