Duet
I have a possessed machine.
I can’t really say that it’s ‘not working’ because it won’t stop running when it gets plugged in. Anyone know anything about what that means other than ‘broken’?
I was pretty unchuffed that my beautiful singer machine was not in operation & I needed a machine desperately for a couple of projects. When MrA text-ed me on his way to school Saturday morning (yes.. that’s right SATURDAY) about a flea market on the corner of our street I took a little wander keeping my eye out for a sewing machine, there were quite a few but I wasn’t loving them after my sweet Singer.

As I was leaving I passed the final stall & there it is, yep.. for a fab 80 kroner about (9 GBP)! I wouldn’t know if it would work until I got home but for 80 kroner it was a risk I was willing to take for this beauty. Ten min. later the jumble-sale was rained off. I spent a cosy day mostly inside playing with my (very smooth working) new toy.

The charming thing with this machine (model 328 k) is that it can do a whole variety of different style stitches, but to enable it to do so you must insert the correctly shaped little cartridge into the top. That makes me giggle a little. I love these machines!
And the instruction manual look’s like this..

With the machine I got the instruction handbook and some of the original attachments too. I am adoring the illustrations in the handbook, it is not in great condition and has the front cover page missing. Closer up everything for the woman who sews. Something like this would never be published permitted these days.
