hyggelig halloween
hyggelig- 1 comfortable (fx house), 2 friendly atmosphere, 3 nice.
I love it how Danes never take a cosy nice time for granted, They have a word for it that there isn’t really an english substitute for ‘hygge’ and ‘hyggelig’ and I hear them on a daily basis. Right now I love getting up each day and feeling hygge as the mornings are dark and I know candle lit windows are going to fill the evenings. In britain I’d always start to feel tired very early at this time of year but it seem’s that the lit candles burning bright are enough to remind me that the day is not over and that it is cosy even viewing from the outside. Soo.. if you have the dark evenings creeping in and you dont quite love it- try lighting a candle!
I am going to give these a go as well as my pumpkin this year, they might be a little less messy to prepare? I have a stash of old jars I use for putting pens, ribbons, paintbrushes in that will be converted into mummy jars and lining the window’s soon. Pretty good and inexpensive idea to entertain some ‘kids?’ for the evening.
Always remember to never leave a candle unattended and to have adult supervision when using matches. You might think I’m anoying saying this but your parents will love me for it. (:

I’ve made those paper pumpkins before and love them! I love this time of year, so crafty! I’m planning on doing some crafts today too…
