10 reasons I <3 food storage

Why I <3 building a two year food storage

    1. You always have what you need in the cupboard! Puts you more on top of things
    2. Have to shop less often when buy in bulk..
    3. which saves time (that you can do more meaningful things in?)
    4. and saves transport expenses..
    5. Works out cheaper to buy in bulk the items you use often (:
    6. Save around 1/2 price stocking on items when they are on offer
    7. More peace of mind just at the thought of something happening that is out of your control.- earthquake trap’s you in your house, party crashes your’s, out of work for a few months.. less to worry about.
    8.  I like to think that you are also always ahead by being always behind on the current rising food prices.. I don’t think that makes a great difference to be honest, but it’s a nice thought tho, no?
    9. It helps us be aware of our eating habits
    10. and food spenditure..

to name a few! Why would anyone not want food storage!?

I stumbled across a blog a while ago of a person not longer active in the L.D.S faith who was upset of having an expensive food storage that they will never use, they stocked up on barrels of barley and wheat and were now trying to sell it to their family and friends who are members of the church. Buy what you eat! I have a very different experience with keeping food storage than that, and its not just people of my faith who have too. It is also a good idea to encorporate grains into your diet, for their great nutritional value- I don’t cook much with grains, I should try to..
