On the Catwalk

These past couple of days that I have been bed ridden ill (again!) with a 24hour bug thing I have been saved from going insane by watching episodes of Project Runway or Catwalk to the uk. Since we began watching them we haven’t been able to stop, my husband said about one episode that it was like a train wreck that he just couldn’t look away, which I think for some of the part is true, I love to see how different people work and progress through the challenges and what techniques they employ to survive through to the winning three some of which we have seen so far have involved getting the team drunk so that they would be too hung over to work the next morning, bullying people terrible so that they will leave rather than be voted out and um.. working your butt off to make a fantastic garment!

Throughout the shows we guess who is going to be the next to go and who will remain in the final three, if we gambled on it seem’s we’d make a bit of money.. There was some huge upset for us tho when we watched Project Catwalk season 3 that we are still pretty sad and amazed at.. mainly being how the heck Viv got into the final three when there was some much more vibrant and origional promise in other contestants, we couldn’t believe that she made it past the third episode, Yes Kelly, we know you would wear a dress that colour.. but surely!

We were gutted to see a fantastic oportunity lost sparing amazing Ross to make a cinderella story from the self trained housewife who its needless to say lived (or didn’t live) up to what we expected. That series had us surprised early though when two very promising contsetants were removed and we could see two very unpromising contestants remaining. I hope that if there ever is a full on cat fight on the catwalk that it does get shown because frankly sometimes the judges are asking for it with some of the things they say, I personaly think that Julien McDonald was given time out on the third series to cool down or banned from being on the show again for being so derogatory or for his lack of vocabulary ‘that is awful’ ‘what were you thinking?’ and ‘thats a $#*@ dress’… was almost all he could ever come out with, but we did like the fact that he doesn’t always take himself so seriously, and like wise either could we.

  1. Sorry you’ve not been well BUT I am glad you’ve been able to watch the wonders of Project Runway. I. Love. it. PR would come on at 11pm on Wednesday night, long after Stuart went to bed. Sometimes I’d go to bed with him and get up to watch it or other times I’d just stay up all night long to watch it. I love it.
If you run out of stuff to watch you should go over to http://www.hulu.com the have tons of tv to watch on there – Party of Five? I recommend Chuck and Psych for detectivey and funnyness. The Pretender is one of Stuart’s favorite shows and I quite like it too… Yep.

Hope you feel better soon though. XX

  2. we are total PR addicts we watch ALL of them.. the British, American, Australain and the Canadian! And we give running comments all the way through, Mr A has a nack of continuing his comments at important bits that I want to hear- that stresses me out even tho we can replay it!
