Farewell mustang..

My bike got pinched! When my DH’s bike went awol, I thought it was kinda funny and cheeky that someone took his ol’ bike.. I imagined some dazed drunk stranded needing to get home but now mine has been pinched too within weeks, its quite annoying. Locking the bikes is obviously not enough and its a pain taking them in to the basement as its down stairs which its obviously much needed now to be done. It’s so rude and costs us, the greatest loss tho is in the soul of the individual who feels that they must steal, they might not believe it, but soon enough they’ll know.. :( I have insurance on my soul, I mean bike,.. so I can get half the money back that was paid. It wasn’t a great bike either, a bit heavy and rough to ride but it was my own, first ever bicycle and I’ll never forget the joy when we purchased it shortly after getting married and moving to Copenhagen. I’m not the first nor will I be the last to experience this kind of nuisance, I think I’m going to initiate a ‘bike watch’ on my street… anyone I catch thieving will get egged.. actually if I could catch them in the process, I’d ask them to leave a sticker note with the name of the nearest station that the bike is headed for the bike owner to collect it from. My hubby’s already getting me excited about getting a new bike a bit better than the last, I think it won’t be for a couple of months tho.

I done a search to see if there was any site where you can post lost n founds for bikes in Copenhagen, I didn’t really find anything like I expected but I did find some other tales of lost (stolen) bikes, and a google map on some of the worst places for bike theft!

It’s been a beautiful day tho still..

happy day
